Win a spin: Panera sponsors ‘Bread Bowl Bike’ sweepstakes ahead of Earth Day on April 22

April 19, 2021

Panera  a fast-casual food chain with over 2,000 U.S. locations, has announced that the entry window is open for the “Panera Earth Day Sweepstakes—which will award 30 lucky winners with a customized bicycle that’s equipped with an insulated bread bowl basket and bike flashlight upfront, Fox News reports.

“We’re celebrating #EarthMonth with a *limited-edition* Bread Bowl Bike!” The Panera Bread Twitter account wrote in an announcement post on Wednesday, April 14.”With the global bike shortage, now’s the time to enter for a chance to win.”

The Bread Bowl Bikes are custom made by Miami-based Vivelo and feature the Panera brand’s signature green, brown and off-white colors.

According to Panera’s sweepstake terms, entries will be accepted until the last minute of Earth Day, which is Thursday, April 22, at 11:59 (EDT). Participants can enter their contact information for a chance to win on the company’s dedicated Earth Day website.

Eligible winners must be U.S. residents and at least 18 years old. Florida residents are excluded from the sweepstakes due to scheduling conflicts with the giveaway’s pre-determined timeline, a media representative for Panera told Fox News.

During Earth Month, there is often a call to switch to transportation like riding your bike, but due to demand for bikes from COVID shut downs (people wanting to be outside more), bike shortages will likely last until 2022,” a statement from Panera Bread reads. “Unfortunately, that means this year you might see less bikes on the road. But Panera wants help you do your part.”

Panera says the total approximate retail value of the soon-to-be awarded bikes is $33,000, which puts each bike at a retail value of $1,100.

The starting cost of a custom Vivelo bicycle is $849, according to the bike manufacturer’s website.

The bike offering comes five months after Panera introduced climate-friendly menu options, which are denoted with “Cool Food Meal” badges.

Win an expense-paid RV road trip on historic Route 66

February 21, 2019

If you dream of escaping the everyday grind and hitting the open road, then RVshare may have just the deal for you.

The Akron, Ohio-based company, founded in 2012, claims to be the world’s first and largest peer-to-peer recreational vehicle rental marketplace—serving more than 60,000 RV owners nationwide, as well as thousands of rental customers.

Now, RVshare has announced that—through a sweepstakes—it is offering four people, along with their families or friends, a once-in-a-lifetime chance to take a road trip down Historic Route 66 in an RV

Established in 1926, Route 66 was one of the original highways in the U.S. Highway System. The route, which for years was one of the most famous roads in America, originally ran from Chicago, Illinois, through Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona; before ending in Santa Monica in Los Angeles County, California—covering a total of 2,448 miles.

RVshaere is launching the sweepstakes to promote its “highly anticipated new offering”— one-way rentals, which will offer travelers more flexibility when planning an RV trip. One-way rentals will be available for booking this spring.

The company’s Historic Route 66 Road Trip Sweepstakes runs through March 20, and comes with a ten-day one-way, Class C RV rental to accommodate 5-7 people to drive from Glen Ellyn, Illinois, to Las Vegas.

The four winners selected can take their time enjoying iconic spots like the Carthage Drive-In Movie in Missouri, the Route 66 Museum in Oklahoma and Cadillac Ranch in Texas.

Winners will be able to pick up their RVs between April 22 and April 26, and they will have up to 21 nights to enjoy and return them. Each winner also will receive a check for $1,000 to cover travel expenses.

“RV travel is becoming increasingly popular among families and groups looking for an affordable and alternative way to travel,” said Jon Gray, CEO of RVshare. “We’re excited to offer this experience for renters to easily get on the road to explore bucket list destinations … on Route 66.”

To enter the sweepstakes visit RVshare.com. Eligible participants may only enter once.

Richard Branson says new cruise line will treat guests like ‘rock stars’

January 22, 2019

You don’t necessarily want to “rock and roll” on a cruise ship. (Think roiling waves and sea sickness.) But Sir Richard Branson—heretofore best-known for Virgin Records, Virgin Atlantic airlines, Virgin Hotels, and Virgin Galactic space tours—has come up with an experience he thinks consumers, literally, will go for.

Virgin Voyages, the latest Branson brand, will begin operations in 2020, with the first of its four ships on order from master builder Fincantieri—the Scarlet Lady. The cruise will set off from Miami to a Caribbean destination, hosting more than 2,770 guests (whom the company calls “Sailors”) and 1,160 crew members.

The Scarlet Lady will be “adult-by-design,” Branson says—”a sanctuary at sea for the 18+ traveler.” The new company is throwing out traditional clichés on luxury and formalities, and instead bringing what it calls Rebellious Luxe to life at sea; with RockStar Suites created by Tom Dixon’s Design Research Studio “as the pinnacle of that experience.”

The top two suites aboard the ship—dubbed the Massive Suites—will boast their very own guitar-clad music rooms, views of the ocean from every corner, hot tubs, hammocks—and runway outdoor dining tables.

“Virgin has always avoided stuffy formalities and brought a lot of excitement and a bit of rebelliousness to our customer experiences,” says Branson. “With these glamorous suites, Virgin Voyages is bringing rock and roll to the high seas and spoiling our Sailors like the rockstars [sic] they are.”

“We have combined brilliant design and Virgin Voyages’ epic Sailor experience vision to create a completely new version of luxury—Rebellious Luxe, which is at the intersection of luxury and a rebellious attitude that makes everything we do different, indulgent and meaningfully relevant to our Sailors. Whether they want to sleep all day, praise the sun with yoga at dusk or party all night, our RockStar Suite Sailors can live out their fantasies aboard the Scarlet Lady,” says Tom McAlpin, CEO of Virgin Voyages.

RockStar Suites Sailors “will live their best lives,” attended to by the RockStar Services Crew, from time of booking, to sail away, and throughout their voyage, Virgin Voyages claims. There will be backstage access for RockStar Suites Sailors at every corner, with early access to onboard entertainment, restaurants, Shore Things (a private transfer to and from the ship in Miami), and an exclusive express VIP pathway to the ship during embarkation.

What’s more, RockStar Suites Sailors will have their very own wardrobe team to help unpack and repack; complimentary pressing service; and nightly express swimsuit drying service—“because no rockstar should ever have a wet bottom.”

All RockStar Suites Sailors will have access to Richard’s Rooftop, their very own private members club—a secluded place for them to bask under the sun or have a drink under the stars.

From now through January 31, Virgin Voyages fans can enter for the change to win the opportunity to Party Like a rockstar, Virgin Voyages’ style, at their next #ShipTease event in New York City on Valentine’s Day. Those interested in the sweepstakes should visit www.virginvoyages.com to enter.
